First let me thank everyone who subscribed to my website, and /or Sewlush on Pinterest. Every subscription helps me gain some elevation on Google which makes me easier to find!
Hopefully one day people will put sewing machine designs, or bag patterns, craft sewing patterns into Google and Sewlush will show up in their results.
Who doesn't like to be able to find things in their bag? One advantage to making your own bags is being able to get the size you want. But of course the bigger the bag the longer the search for that thing you can't find but "must be in there somewhere". This is where zipped pockets comes into their own. You can organise your bag contents, and because it's zipped your items are secure.
Once you've got the hang of the useful interior pocket, you can also add a pocket in exactly the same way on the front or back of your bag. Very useful for your phone.
Don't be put off by the "zip" thing. With this free tutorial you'll learn all of the tricks to making zip insertion not only easy but stress free. Go for a nylon zip so you don't have to tackle metal teeth, and go for a regular zip not an "invisible" type. Always buy your zip longer than the finished pocket. Then you don't have to worry about the end of the zip, you can just sew and cut it off!
Download the tutorial and get zipping.
