What do I get in an Embroidery Design download?
You will get a zip file which you can open with any unzip programme like Winzip. In the file you'll find the colour thread chart and the design in 7 formats. HUS, JEF, PCS, PES, SEW, VP3, XXX.
How do Photostitch Designs differ from ordinary designs?
This type of design is quite dense. This helps with the 3D effect of the finished design. However, it also means there are a lot of stitches. You will need to stabilize your fabric well.
Be prepared for your design to take some time to sew out. It will take longer than a non-photo type design. The design also jumps around, this is normal. It is probably best to leave most of the trimming of jump stitches to the end of the sew out, although any long jump stitches should be trimmed as you go. Don’t be put off by how the design looks in the early stages – it does look like your chosen design when all the colours have been stitched!
Use good quality embroidery bobbin thread in your bobbin. NEBS pre-wound, Brother or similar. Start the design with a new needle. Use good quality top thread making sure you have sufficient of each colour to finish the design. I use Sulky threads and Brother threads, but Gutermann, Madeira, Anchor (Coats) Alcazar or similar are fine.
Always follow the colour chart and not the colours that show on your software as sometimes these do not match the stitch out colours.
What do I get in a Pattern Download?
Your pattern comes as PDF download. It is written with lots of detail in a tutorial style with pictures for each step. If your design requires a pattern it is included in your PDF. The tutorials are written in Metric (cms) and Imperial (inches). Before you start cutting out your fabric, read through the pattern and mark which measurement type you are going to use. That way you won't get confused. Stay with one measurement type, don't mix the two.
Can I get a refund?
I do not offer refunds because my items are instant downloads. Check your cart carefully before you click pay and start the payment section.
