Sew Lush is a place to celebrate sewing and embroidery.  I love to sew and create something which is both beautiful and practical.

I have taught sewing and bag making at my local sewing shop, in private 1:1 classes and groups, and at the knitting and stitching show at Ally Pally (Alexandra Palace).  If you're from the UK you might also have seen my bag tutorials in sewing magazines like Sew Hip, Sewing World and Sew.

I have a Brother Innovis 4000 and PE design and I love to embroider with this machine.  I digitise, using PE Design 8, designs that I find pretty, cute, or useful and I hope you do too.  There are free embroidery designs and patterns available so you can try before you buy, although with the advice that some of these were digitised some time ago and I have developed my digitising skills more since they were done.

I had a shop on the internet selling my patterns and bag making bits like hardware and handles, which I closed over two years ago.  I took this step because my husband was retiring and we wanted to spend more time together.  During lockdown at the start of 2020 I had more time to spend on line and in my sewing room.  I saw my designs on Pinterest and elsewhere with outdated links and decided to at least make these available.  I also wrote some new designs for the bags I am making now as well as doing more digitising.

I'm lucky to be living in beautiful Wiltshire in the UK where I am close to my daughters and grandchildren.

Thank you for visiting, I hope you find something you are interested in making.
